How eco7 Heat Pumps Work
- As the pool pump circulates the swimming pool's water, the water drawn from the pool passes through a filter and the heat pump.
- The eco7 heat pump's large, balanced fan draws in the outside air and directs over the evaporator coil.
- Liquid refridgerant (R407c) within the evaporator coil absorbs the heat from the outside air and becomes a gas.
- The warm gas in the coil then passes through the compressor.
- The compressor increases the heat, creating a very hot gas that then passes through the condenser.
- The condeser transfers the heat from the hot gas to the cooler pool water that is circulating through the heat pump.
- The heated water then returns to the pool.
- The hot gas cools as it flows through the condenser coil and back to the evaporator, where the whole process begins again.

For each kW of electricity consumed, our eco7 range of swimming pool heat pumps will produce up to 6.5kW, making the eco7 range one of the most efficient pool heating solutions available. The eco7 heat pumps will work in temperatures as low as as -5°C. If used with a suitable heat retaining cover they wil heat a pool all year round.
